On October 23, 2003 I took enough pills to kill an elephant only to survive by a miracle that was God's intervention. Was I brain dead before or after I took those pills? I was predestined to attempt suicide so I would care about suicide. God knew I would write "Never Surrender Your Soul". Some of the reasons why I attempted to take my life included depression, unemployment, eviction and social pressures. A psychologist once told me that I had enough reasons but not to try it again. That must have meant I was a sane man driven to an insane moment by God when I took all those pills. I started writing a journal in July 2008 because of the continued absence of my daughter Amelia in my life and in January 2008 my best friend Adam died while under the influence of alcohol and drugs when his RV hit a utility pole. After the accident he was electrocuted when he stepped on a live wire and died a few days later.
As I was finishing the writing Never Surrender your Soul. I had ten times the amount of problems that I had on October 23, 2003 but I have become a survivor. The following was stolen from me: a Toshiba Laptop Model # A500 Part # PSAT6U - 03H007 S/N 3A286839Q with my daughters pictures, my entire database for the last nine and one half years, a one hundred G external hard drive, seven USB external hard drives and Microsoft Outlook 2010 software. Several cell phones were stolen, three credit card processing machines, a new winter blue down navy blue coat and a Mp3 player delivered by FedEx left at my apartment door. Canvas Dreams a web hosting company in Oregon gave me ten hours to get my three websites off their server; two websites were corrupted and would not upload properly. I fed myself to the lions in a modern sense becoming homeless for nine months beginning on December 8, 2010 as a result of putting people of need ahead of my needs. I averaged two and half hours of sleep a night from May 2010 to November 2010. Many days I wrote through the night staying awake twenty-four to fifty-six hours without sleep twice a week. I cared that much that you should live. |
